Are you considering homeschool? My advice to you would be research. Look around at the links below. This should give you a pretty good idea of the laws. I'm also adding links for curriculum resources, and free curriclum.
Beginning our first year of homeschool I was unsure. What if I messed them up? What if they turned out to be unsocialized degenerates and it was all my fault? What if they didn't want to listen to my lesson plans? After all, one kid was beginning third grade and one kid was beginning 7th. It wasn't as if I was starting them out from scratch.
We have all been scared and unsure in the beginning. If you need help in getting started let us know. Our group is here to help out new and unsure parents. Our parents have over 10 years of homeschooling experience.
If you are new and in need of curriculum I can help point you in the right direction. Curriculum choices can be very overwhelming. Don't make the mistakes that I did and purchase a little bit of everything. I learned this lesson after purchasing thousands of dollars of stuff that I do not use. Homeschooling can be done very cheaply with a little bit of imagination. There are so many free resources on the internet. If you need everything laid out for you there are many companys that do this. Homeschooling is a fun adventure. Get to know your kids. I'm still amazed what little things that I didn't know.
Good luck on your homeschool journey!
