I have been receiving quite a few calls and emails about homeschooling in the area. If you are interested in homeschooling please visit one of our meetings. I have a ton of resources that can get you started. With homeschooling my own kids and running a household and business I'm finding it very hard to return phone calls during normal hours. The easiest way to reach me would be by cell phone Melissa 534-0576 (I have it with me all the time). Or you may contact Nancy at 298-0224.
I'm in the process of working out a group rate for Camden Park. If interested please let me know ASAP. The date has not been set yet. When I find out more info I will let everyone know.
We will be having a pininic at Jenny Wiley State Resort Park on Friday May 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Please bring your lunch!
The months of June and July meetings will vary. Alot of members have vacation plans. We will contiune with meeting through the
Summer. If you have plans don't sweat it! Enjoy your break.

All Shook Up tells the all-new story of a square little town in the middle of a square state in the middle of a square decade where a lonely young girl dreams of hitting the open road. Into her life rides a guitar-playin' roustabout who changes everything and kick-starts a hip-swivelin', lip-curlin' musical fantasy that will have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes. All Shook Up features such classics as "Heartbreak Hotel," "Burning Love," "Jailhouse Rock," "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Don't Be Cruel." Combining all-time favorite Elvis hits with a whole new story, All Shook Up is surefire fun for rock 'n' roll rebels of all ages! Wanna see a clip from the show? JUNE - AUG 2009 Join in the fun as Jenny Wiley Theatre presents the immensely popular Smoke on the Mountain. It’s the summer of 1938 and the congregation of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in the hills of North Carolina is in for a special treat for its first revival. The pastor has invited the somewhat wacky Singing Sanders Family to get the spirit moving. This musical comedy combines classic gospel tunes with sidesplitting humor. Come join us for an old-fashioned Saturday night sing where you'll hear familiar hymns such as "I'll Fly Away", "Power In the Blood" and "Church All performances inside the Wilkinson/Stumbo Convention Center. Rated G: ideal for families and audiences of all ages Sponsored by First Commonwealth Bank & Highlands Foundation
Back by popular demand, The Legend of Jenny Wiley makes its return to the JWT stage after a two-year hiatus. This true story relates the tragedies and the ultimate triumph of a heroic 18th century pioneer woman captured by Indians. Jenny's faith affords her the bravery and determination to escape brutality and the strength to rebuild her life. Legend sensitively protrays the struggles of both the early pioneers and the American Indians. Featuring an unforgettable score by Scott Bradley and lyrics by Peyton Dixon, you won't want to miss this compelling account of life, love and faith. All performances on the Amphitheatre Mainstage. Rated PG: ideal for older children and adults of all ages Sponsored by Kinzer Drilling Company Broadway Kids is the culmination of a 2-week camp experience with professional directors, actors, choreographers and designers. The camp participants and the adult cast will present a collection of Broadway Favorites including songs from Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Follies "Broadway Baby", Les Miserables, Rent and more. This review will be perfect for the entire family. Performances scheduled for the amphitheatre stage and inside the Wilkinson/Stumbo Convention Center. Rated G: ideal for families and audiences of all ages Sponsored by Boyd Pediatric Dentistry, Allen, KY OCTOBER 2009 Bram Stoker’s classic tale of terror is given new blood by JWT. For fall 2009, Jenny Wiley Theatre again partners with film director, Mickey Fisher, playwright of JWT’s wildly successful Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Frankenstein. Taken from the pages of Bram Stoker’s novel, “Dracula”, JWT brings a spine tingling production of a legendary horror story just in time for the Halloween Season. Transcending four centuries of history, see the transformation of a noble knight to a son of darkness…whose revenge has just begun. All shows will be at the Mountain Arts Center, Prestonsburg, KY. Need to add...We will be taking pictures at future meetings. I will also be handing the camera over to the children at the meetings. We will not be posting pictures of the children on the internet! In this day and time, I don't think it would be wise. All parents will have a chance to view and pick which pictures they want. I will give one child the camera every week.
