           H.O.P.E. Homeschool Support

We are a inclusive homeschool support group in Martin, Lawrence, and surrounding counties, in Eastern Kentucky.  H.O.P.E. is a "non-directed" organization.  There are no appointed leaders.  Everyone helps out and makes decisions.  We offer friendship, support, information, field trips, play dates, 4H, and much more. Membership is free, come join us!

I have updated the page 2-2-10 the new dates are up!

Hope everyone has a great New Year! Are you ready for the 2010 school year? All new dates are posted. Please take a look!

Hope Homeschool Support Group is here to help you. We are not here to give you a list of requirements to complete. We are here to help the parents do what they started out to do! Kentucky state laws are pretty simple. If you have any questions we are more than happy to answer any questions you have. You need not be a member of the group. We will help you along no matter what. We believe every parent should be allowed the choice of Home Education! I can vouch it's been a great decision!  Hope is a homeschool  support group. We don't handle grades, portfolios, grads, etc. This is the responsibility of the parent. Graduation from a Homeschool Group is no different than graduation from a homeschool!  We do offer your children field trips, friends, social events, club activities. The 2009/2010 has proven to be a year of great growth! We now have children of all ages and areas! I'm so happy to have each one of you in our lives! You each bring something wonderful to our homeschooling journey. I wish I could have found each one of you sooner! You could have saved my family a lot of heartache.

If you have any questions as a new homeschooler you may call me at 606-534-0579, or any of the numbers listed below. We work as a group and all are willing to help everyone!

We highly encourage your family to join the Homeschool Legal Defense Association (H.S.L.D.A.)
This is a group of lawyers that for a set fee (just a little over $100.00), will answer your legal questions and defend your family if legal matters come up concerning your homeschooling.  It is basically "homeschool insurance" but is so much more than that.  H.S.L.D.A. has payment plans in which you can pay as little as $8.00 a month for those who need it.  For more information on H.S.L.D.A. and why membership is so important to our families, click the link: http://www.hslda.org/about/default.asp
